About the Role
The U.S. Legislative Branch is seeking a highly skilled Foreign Affairs Analyst to join our team in the Foreign Affairs, Defense and Trade Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing legislative analysis and consultation to congressional committees, Members, and staff on transnational crime, international law enforcement, and related U.S. policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on transnational crime, international law enforcement, and related U.S. policy
- Develop and maintain expertise in areas such as international law enforcement, transnational crime, and U.S. policy
- Provide legislative analysis and consultation to congressional committees, Members, and staff
- Support research undertaken throughout the division
- Collaborate with other analysts and staff to develop and implement research projects
Requirements
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as international relations, law, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in a related field, including experience in legislative analysis and consultation
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct in-depth research and analysis
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others
- Ability to exercise objectivity in all phases of analysis and consultation
