Psychiatric Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:
Tridant Solutions Inc. is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Behavioral Health and Recovery Services department, you will deliver specialized nursing care to patients with emotional and/or mental health issues.
Responsibilities:
Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
Plan and provide nursing care for patients.
Make nursing diagnoses of the medical and emotional status of patients and recommend treatment options.
Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff in designing appropriate treatment plans for clients.
Administer and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications.
Arrange further medical attention when necessary.
Assist the client in understanding the nature of emotional disturbances and accepting the need for treatment.
Assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and patients.
Test for vital signs of pain and ensure treatments of pain.
Document all patient information on medical charts and follow physician's written orders.
Maintain patient confidentiality.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient treatments, immunizations, and laboratory results according to standard medical recordkeeping.
Perform administrative assignments such as filing, answering phones, typing, and completing progress notes in the computer system.
Requirements:
National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) certification
A valid nursing certificate, BSN, or MSN degree from an accredited college or university.
A valid unencumbered RN license for this State.
A valid unencumbered MA license for this State.
Current vaccinations and health clearance certification.
Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
BLS certification.
Must have previous experience with starting IVs.
Must have at least 1-10 years of recent and relevant consecutive acute care experience in a hospital setting in this specialty.
High-level interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with patients during stressful experiences.
Strong organizational abilities and good communication skills
The appropriate license to work in their state/county.
Fluent in English.
Work Environment:
Natick Massachusetts Area
Compensation:
$61,000-$132,000 USD Annually
