Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Inova Health System.

The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients experiencing acute psychiatric crises, as well as emergency medicine patients, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

This position requires the ability to seamlessly transition between providing psychiatric nursing care and attending to emergency medicine patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with acute psychiatric needs
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Assess and manage patients with complex medical comorbidities
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in both psychiatric and emergency medicine nursing practices
Requirements
  • BSN preferred
  • 1 year of RN experience in any specialty, with psychiatric or emergency department experience preferred
  • BLS or ACLS required within 30 days of hire
