Ultrasound Technologist PRN Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist PRN to join our team at Parkland Medical Center. As a PRN Ultrasound Sonographer, you will be responsible for preparing patients, collecting relevant information, and performing sonographic exams following defined protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for exams, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
  • Collect relevant information for completion of procedures, including patient history and medical records.
  • Perform sonographic exams, adhering to defined protocols and guidelines.
  • Observe patients' conditions and notify physicians of any unusual occurrences.
  • Compile and maintain accurate records, expediting results and facilitating communication with radiologists.
  • Analyze image quality and process data as required.
  • Take call after regular hours to meet department needs.
Requirements:
  • Two to three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist or Sonographer, including two-plus years in a hospital setting.
  • ARDMS or ARRT registration.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
