Job Summary:

As an Administrative Associate to the Counseling Team at Manor ISD, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of the school counseling office. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional clerical services to the campus counseling staff, supporting their efforts to provide a positive and productive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare written correspondence, schedules, and reports using a personal computer.
• Develop instructional materials, meeting agendas, honor rolls, graduation lists, and campus communication as requested.
• Maintain a daily teacher attendance log and records for substitute teachers, as well as a log of visitors to the school.
• Schedule meetings and appointments and maintain a calendar for the assigned principal or supervisor.
• Assist students, teachers, and parents as needed, providing reliable support and communication.
• Receive incoming calls, take messages, and route them to the appropriate staff member.
• Maintain physical and computerized files, including inventory of school and office supplies, mailing lists, student records, visitor logs, and office communication.
• Update handbooks, policy manuals, and other documents as assigned.
• Receive, store, and issue supplies and equipment, ensuring the office is well-stocked and organized.
• Sort, distribute, or deliver mail and other documents, ensuring timely and efficient communication.
• Substitute coordinator for the campus, ensuring that all vacancies and absences are filled with a substitute teacher.
• Prepare Teacher Absentee reports as needed and reconcile the AESOP and Skyward system for semi-monthly payroll.
• Maintain confidentiality and report to work in a timely manner according to the assigned schedule.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED, with successful completion of the MISD Assessment.
• Proficient personal computer use and file maintenance skills, with the ability to develop spreadsheets, databases, and word documents.
• Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain emotional control under stress, work with frequent interruptions, and adapt to changing situations.
• Physical demands include lifting, carrying, sitting, standing, bending, and repetitive hand motions, with the ability to work in a variety of environments.
