Farfield Systems is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Defense Analyst IV to join our team. As a key member of our Cyber Defense team, you will be responsible for analyzing network traffic to identify anomalous activity and potential threats to network resources.

You will work closely with our enterprise-wide cyber defense staff to validate network alerts and document and escalate incidents that may cause ongoing and immediate impact to the environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Characterizing and analyzing network traffic to identify anomalous activity and potential threats to network resources.
  • Coordinating with enterprise-wide cyber defense staff to validate network alerts.
  • Documenting and escalating incidents that may cause ongoing and immediate impact to the environment.

Requirements:

  • 8 years of direct relevant experience in cyber defense analysis using leading edge technologies and industry standard cyber defense tools.
  • BS Computer Science, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, or related degree; or HS Diploma.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Python programming experience.
  • Strong math and science background.
  • Experience with Carnegie Mellon SiLK tool suite.
