Job Summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team as an Outpatient Dialysis Nurse. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and education to patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, to patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and document patient responses and outcomes.
  • Conduct ongoing education and training for patients and their families on dialysis treatment and related health issues.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor Patient Care Technicians and other nursing staff as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current appropriate state licensure.
  • Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
  • Minimum of 9 months experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least 3 months experience in chronic/acute hemodialysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a dialysis setting.
  • Knowledge of dialysis treatment modalities and related health issues.
