Cafeteria Worker

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cafeteria Worker to join our team at Spencer County Public Schools. As a Cafeteria Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and serving of food to students and staff.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of food service facilities.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment, including cash registers, slicers, and graters.
• Train new food service employees and student workers as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must complete training course for certification of beginning of school food service personnel.
• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull weights up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed while standing, sitting, and/or walking.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
