Responsibilities

The role involves delivering patient care according to established care plans, unit protocols, and hospital policies under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Key responsibilities include:

  • Safe transportation of patients using wheelchairs or stretchers, along with appropriate documentation of services rendered.
  • Providing observation services for patients requiring constant monitoring, either in-person or through remote video systems, to ensure their safety.
  • Performing general receptionist and clerical tasks to support the efficient operation of the nursing unit.
  • Accurate documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record system.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a hospital or nursing home setting is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred.
