Key Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Care Nurse (RN), your duties will include conducting patient assessments, formulating care plans, and executing and evaluating treatment strategies. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, you will ensure the safe and effective delivery of care.

  • Develop individualized care plans and adjust them based on patient responses.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of care plans.
  • Communicate clearly with the Resource Nurse, Team Leader, and Physicians.
  • Demonstrate expertise in cardiac monitoring, identifying dysrhythmias, and implementing appropriate interventions.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of all patients in accordance with established protocols.
  • Monitor patients' hemodynamic status and accurately interpret results.
  • Consult with other departments as necessary to address patient needs.
  • Coordinate and oversee patient care as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience:

1-3 years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) is preferred.

Education:

Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or a Compact Registered Nursing License (Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire).

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required as per policy.

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
