Job Title: Recovery Coach

Spectrum Health Systems is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Recovery Coach to join our team. As a Recovery Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in their recovery journey.

Job Summary:

The Recovery Coach will provide non-clinical support services within our Peer Recovery Support Centers, focusing on supporting members within the center. This role requires a strong understanding of addiction and mental health disorders, as well as the ability to provide health and wellness coaching and connect individuals with community resources.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide non-clinical support services to individuals in recovery, including health and wellness coaching and connecting them with community resources.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to ensure seamless referrals and support services.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in recovery support.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Recovery Coach training and certification required within the first 12 months of employment.
  • Must have lived experience with mental health, substance use conditions, or family supporting a family member with behavioral health challenges; and be in recovery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in contemporary Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
