Job Overview

Position Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Role Summary: We are looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to effectively troubleshoot, repair, and uphold our manufacturing facility and equipment, ensuring seamless operations while prioritizing safety. This position involves identifying root causes of failures, proposing enhancements, overseeing spare parts inventory, and meticulously documenting all activities in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Work Environment:

  • Location: Zebulon, NC
  • Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts following a 2-2-3 day rotation

Available Positions:

  • 1 position: 6pm - 6am
  • 1 position: 6am - 6pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical equipment malfunctions, including heating circuits, motor controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs), servo drives, pumps, vacuum systems, hot oil units, pneumatic systems, electromechanical solenoids, and motorized conveyors.
  • Drive measurable improvements in maintenance-related downtime and associated costs, contributing to overall plant performance objectives and sharing best practices across the organization.
  • Plan and execute complex corrective and preventive maintenance tasks, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of mechanical and electrical theories and principles.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on facility HVAC systems.
  • Manage work orders within the CMMS, documenting issues, parts used, and repairs conducted.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory management.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to management regarding technical challenges.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • A two-year college degree in a technical field or active pursuit of such a degree is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in electrical field applications is essential.
  • Proficient understanding of three-phase power, distribution panels, branch circuits, power transformers, lighting circuits, and overload protection mechanisms.
  • Ability to interpret and adhere to safety information, operating instructions, blueprints, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and procedural manuals.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with colleagues, management, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Competence in selecting, utilizing, and safely handling power tools and workshop equipment.
  • Highly self-driven with the capacity to prioritize tasks and work autonomously.
