About the Role

Fulgent Genetics is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Distribution Assistant I PRN to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a consistent flow of materials in and out of the distribution area, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scanning slides into Autoassign and accurately matching them with paperwork generated by the system
  • Maintaining pathologist workload by balancing jar counts within Autoassign
  • Monitoring and ensuring that the most up-to-date pathologist vacation calendar, pathologist licensing report, Daily Distribution Sheet, and Autoassign are readily available at each station
  • Delivering all slides to pathologists in a timely manner
  • Communicating with other departments, such as Accessioning and Client Services, to ensure smooth operations
  • Documenting quality issues and reporting any concerns to supervisors or safety officers

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor of Science in biology or related field preferred
  • Prior experience in the medical field preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Visual acuity and analytical skill to distinguish fine detail
  • Manual dexterity to use common laboratory equipment and perform sterile techniques as required
