The Pharmacy Supervisor at AdventHealth Winter Park is responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective workflow in all pharmacy areas. This includes handling and resolving complex issues and complaints when necessary. The Pharmacy Supervisor may perform the duties of a pharmacist as needed to fulfill required service levels. They also provide administrative support and supervision of pharmacy staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Accurately labels all medication prior to dispensing according to regulatory standards.
- Maintains all record-keeping associated with receipt, distribution, and inventory of controlled substances according to standards from the DEA, Board of Pharmacy & DBPR.
- Adapts to changes in workload and work schedule, including unforeseen scheduling changes.
- Assists nursing or other medical staff members in completing ADR reports, if required.
- Works independently with minimal direct supervision and assists with new employee orientation.
- Required: Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience, Licensed Pharmacist.
- Preferred: Doctorate in Pharmacy, One year of Pharmacy Supervisor Experience, State license in consultant pharmacist, Board certified Pharmacotherapy specialist.
