Position Overview

As a Procurement Specialist, you will support the implementation of purchasing functions across all Amcor facilities. This role encompasses executing purchases and managing procurement projects for indirect materials and services in alignment with Amcor’s global, national, or regional purchasing agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in executing local procurement strategies, contracts, and supplier relationship management in collaboration with stakeholders, adhering to the framework set by the Global Category Management Team.
  • Optimize the requisition-to-payment process and ordering procedures.
  • Work with peers and leadership to enhance processes in compliance with Global Procurement standards.
  • Support sourcing and executing purchases for all indirect materials or services not covered by existing contracts.
  • Coordinate the RFQ process with suppliers, determining the best total cost of ownership in partnership with supported sites.
  • Monitor and assess supplier pricing.
  • Collaborate with other departments to select suitable materials or services.
  • Assist in resolving supply, pricing, quality, delivery, and other supplier-related issues.
  • Identify and report cost-saving opportunities, sharing insights with other procurement agents and Amcor Global Procurement associates.
  • Collaborate with fellow purchasing agents to refine purchasing processes.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including maintaining files, records, and internal systems.
  • Provide backup support for agents at other locations as necessary.
  • Engage in special projects as assigned.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement excellence.
  • Ensure an uninterrupted flow of requested materials and services through lean processes and automation.
  • Foster internal customer loyalty through positive engagement and service excellence.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a business-related field is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
