Job Summary:

The Department of Radiology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as the Section Chief of Breast Imaging. This is a full-time position at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level, offering a unique opportunity to lead an outstanding academic breast imaging section.

The successful candidate will oversee the clinical, educational, and research missions of the section, providing leadership, mentorship, and vision for academic excellence. The Section Chief will be responsible for developing a broad vision for integrated clinical operations, education, and research programs in breast imaging, ensuring the highest standards of quality and patient experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the academic breast imaging section, comprising 7 faculty and 1 or more fellows
  • Oversee clinical operations, including breast imaging at the academic center and outpatient imaging centers throughout the Denver Metro area
  • Develop and implement educational programs in breast radiology, including teaching medical students and training radiology residents and breast imaging fellows
  • Establish and maintain a multidisciplinary research program in breast imaging, with strong relationships with biotechnology, industry, and the scientific community
  • Provide administrative leadership, optimizing clinical operations and maintaining excellence in quality and patient experience
Requirements:
  • ABR certified in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Fellowship-trained in Breast Imaging
  • Record of clinical and academic achievement, including mentorship and managerial experience
  • National reputation in Breast Imaging
