Advanced Practice Provider in Pain Management

Dignity Physician Careers is seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) specializing in Pain Management to enhance our healthcare services. This role involves the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients suffering from both acute and chronic pain conditions. The successful candidate will focus on delivering thorough pain assessments, crafting personalized treatment strategies, and applying evidence-based practices to elevate patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed assessments of patients with various pain conditions, including comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Order and analyze diagnostic tests, such as imaging and laboratory studies, to inform treatment decisions.
  • Formulate and execute tailored pain management plans, taking into account patients' medical backgrounds and treatment objectives.
  • Prescribe and oversee pharmacological treatments, including analgesics and adjuvant medications, while adhering to established guidelines.
  • Perform interventional procedures aimed at pain relief, such as nerve blocks and joint injections.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for pain management.
  • Educate patients and their families on pain management techniques, medication use, and potential side effects.
  • Monitor and reassess treatment effectiveness and adjust plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in pain management.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in California.
  • DEA and Furnishing license, along with completion of the PAB Substance Abuse Course.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications.
  • Strong clinical expertise in pain management, with experience in diagnosing and treating a variety of pain conditions.
  • Proficiency in conducting physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic results.
  • Knowledge of interventional pain management techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Strong analytical skills for managing complex pain cases.
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Adaptability to evolving healthcare regulations and best practices.

Compensation:
$64 to $85 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package available.
