Job Overview

  • Position: Senior .NET Software Engineer
  • Location: Hybrid
  • Clearance: Public Trust or higher
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement software applications based on functional specifications.
  • Collaborate with peers to create advanced UI designs and web components, continuously evaluating technological advancements to enhance the software development process.
  • Utilize presentation technologies such as HTML, CSS, XML, AJAX, jQuery, Angular, and JavaScript to build user interfaces.
  • Ensure web components meet compliance standards as outlined in Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
  • Architect and develop Microservices utilizing .NET and RESTful frameworks.
  • Engage in data analysis, manipulation, database design, and software implementation.
  • Employ Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools such as Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, and UCD for version control and deployment in cloud environments.
  • Create Proofs of Concept (POCs) and templates for Behavior Driven Development (BDD) testing frameworks.
  • Write unit tests for all classes using frameworks like nunit, xunit, and moq.
  • Document solution architecture and develop UML-based design documents using MS Project and Visio.
  • Participate in technical discussions and meetings, providing insights to improve code quality and processes.
  • Contribute to the development of new solutions and operational plans that enhance the company's competitive edge.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A Master's or Doctorate degree may be considered in lieu of required experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in .NET development.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Extensive experience in C# programming.
  • Strong knowledge of .NET 8, including .NET Core and .NET Framework.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 and later.
  • Experience with Web Services (SOAP, REST) and web security protocols.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and experience with Entity Framework and SQL.
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (nUnit/xUnit).
  • Comprehensive understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of .NET 8, C#, Azure, .NET Web Services, API Security, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Angular.
