Procurement Specialist

Salary Range: $65,000-75,000 annually
Location: Upper Kirby, Houston, TX
Work Schedule: Full-Time, 8 AM to 5 PM, Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote)
As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the purchasing process to guarantee effective procurement and supply chain management. This position is well-suited for individuals with a degree in Supply Chain Management or related disciplines, or those with relevant internship or purchasing experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and managing purchasing operations and vendor partnerships.
- Assisting in the acquisition of materials and supplies for residential construction initiatives.
- Interpreting blueprints to ensure precise material procurement.
- Negotiating with suppliers to obtain advantageous terms.
- Employing Microsoft Office and Excel for monitoring and reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred in Business or a Construction-related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, operations, or estimating.
- Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with estimating and purchasing principles as well as residential construction practices and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Willingness to travel as necessary within Texas.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
- A valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation.
