Job Summary:

Gateway Foundation is seeking a highly skilled Admissions Counselor II to join our team. As a key member of our admissions team, you will be responsible for coordinating the admission process, conducting comprehensive assessments, and preparing initial treatment plans for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating admission into treatment programs by conducting interviews, completing assessments, and preparing treatment plans
  • Determining eligibility for insurance coverage or medical assistance
  • Completing admission forms and obtaining necessary consent signatures
  • Responding to inquiries regarding treatment programs and available services
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and life experience
  • Current certification as a substance abuse counselor (CADC) or higher licensure (LPC, LSW) in the state of hire
  • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in substance abuse or mental health counseling
  • Ability to work full-time, some weekends, days, or evenings
