About the Role

  • This is a full-time onsite position located in University, NC, with a guaranteed hourly rate.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing accurate and effective interpretation in various settings.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the ethical standards of the interpreting profession.
  • You will work collaboratively with students, staff, and other interpreters to ensure smooth communication and understanding.
  • Ongoing professional development and training opportunities will be provided to enhance your skills.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide high-quality interpretation services in various educational settings.
  2. Cultivate strong relationships with students, staff, and colleagues to ensure seamless communication.
  3. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through regular training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements

  • Active certification as a Sign Language Interpreter.
  • A minimum of 1+ years of experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in diverse settings.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in both American Sign Language (ASL) and English, with the ability to convey nuances accurately.
