About the Role

Eversource Energy is seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our Transmission System Planning team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and developing efficient and reliable electrical transmission grids across the New England region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement transmission planning strategies
  • Analyze and assess complex transmission systems to ensure reliability and efficiency
  • Develop and apply a thorough understanding of various planning criteria, guidelines, and standards
  • Represent Eversource Energy on regional and national transmission committees
  • Train junior staff in technical analyses and procedures
Requirements
  • BSEE required with additional consideration given to applicants with Advanced Degrees or Certifications
  • At least 5 years of related experience in power industry, with a strong preference for transmission planning experience
  • Practical and theoretical knowledge of planning, operations, and engineering design
  • Knowledge of regional and local criteria and compliance
