Medical Coding Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Billing Coordinator to join our team at Integrity Health Products. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day billing operations, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims to payers.
Key Responsibilities
- Abstract and code patient data accurately and efficiently, adhering to ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines.
- Perform data entry and verification of patient information in the electronic medical record system.
- Communicate with physicians and advanced practice providers to obtain necessary documentation for coding and billing purposes.
- Monitor and analyze medical records for documentation deficiencies and coding errors.
- Assign CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes to clinical services performed.
- Stay up-to-date with National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) and National Coverage Determinations (NCD) / Local coverage determinations (LCD) edits.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of coding experience for professional services.
- Strong understanding of physiology, medical terms, and anatomy.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including typing speed and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
