About Harris Kocher Smith

Harris Kocher Smith is a well-regarded, multi-disciplinary consulting firm specializing in civil engineering, land surveying, and subsurface utility engineering. We provide comprehensive design solutions for a diverse range of private and public sector clients.

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer or Manager in Land Development to oversee our new office. In this capacity, you will manage multiple land development initiatives, ensuring client satisfaction and project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mentor and develop a team of qualified engineers and designers
  • Oversee all project management functions, including reporting and client invoicing
  • Forecast future workloads, staffing needs, and project budgets
  • Assist in strategic marketing and proposal generation
  • Exhibit high proficiency in land development design and methodologies
  • Coordinate with team members, project consultants, clients, and regulatory agencies

Qualifications

  • Must possess Arizona P.E. certification
  • Willingness to conduct site visits
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience managing site development projects independently

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Expertise in all major technical aspects of Land Development Engineering
  • Ability to analyze and interpret regulations and procedures from public agencies
  • Strong familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, CUHP, and SWMM software
  • Capability to guide engineers in the effective use of software tools
  • Experience in Construction Administration is preferred
  • Local market experience is advantageous
  • Experience in both single and multi-family residential development is preferred

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $130,000 and $200,000 annually, based on your skills and experience.
