Job Summary

The Housekeeping Manager at Limelight Hotels is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department. This includes managing staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring the cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and supervise housekeeping staff, including Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Housekeeping Supervisors.
  • Oversee the laundry department to ensure an adequate supply of linens and uniforms.
  • Supervise the laundry operation to maximize productivity, maintain quality standards, and keep within prescribed costs.
  • Maintain adequate labor levels to ensure an efficient operation.
  • Prepare weekly and daily schedules and room assignment schedules.
  • Ensure accuracy of employee payroll.
  • Conduct regular inspections of total room inventory to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Ensure timely completion of inventories and maintain adequate levels of linen, cleaning products, and guest supplies.
  • Supervise the administration of the Lost and Found program.
  • Assist in all linen and uniform inventories and purchases in coordination with the General Manager.
  • Inspect rooms and public areas for overall cleanliness.
  • Set up evening shift tasks and conduct pre-shift meetings with AM and PM staff to review their assignments.
  • Make recommendations for operating budgets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in housekeeping management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
