The individual will engage in research and analysis concerning state and national legislation, rules, and regulations that affect the management and dissemination of criminal justice data. Maintaining FCIC/NCIC certification is essential, along with ensuring the security and integrity of the data within departmental databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to collect necessary documentation for formulating recommendations within established timelines.
  • Utilize available resources effectively to maintain comprehensive and accurate criminal history records.
  • Analyze documentation for specialized requests and assist in assessing the impact of proposed legislative or regulatory changes.
  • Conduct thorough research for pertinent information across various databases and resources.
  • Support management in developing and updating operational procedures to ensure that section materials are current and accessible to team members.
  • Assist in the quality assurance processes for criminal history records.
  • Participate in training initiatives for section members as required.
  • Stay informed about section processes and procedures.

  • Understanding of effective communication principles and techniques.
  • Familiarity with the criminal justice system.
  • Knowledge of data collection methodologies.
  • Ability to gather, evaluate, and analyze data effectively.

Compensation:
