Data Transformation Specialist - Corporate Trust

Job Summary:
Western Alliance Bank is seeking a skilled Data Transformation Specialist to design, develop, and deploy data extracts, transformations, or loads, supporting the ingestion and transformation of data as needed using Azure Data Factory and SSIS packages.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the design, development, and deployment of data extracts, transformations, or loads.
• Support the ingestion and transformation of data as needed using Azure Data Factory and SSIS packages.
• Provide database administration support for on-prem and cloud databases.
• Work with different teams to understand complex business logic and design ETL processes.
• Design and develop data warehouse ETL processes in SSIS & SQL stored procedures.
• Analyze business user requirements, assess different source data of banking applications, and design data flow to implement ETL processes using Microsoft SSIS tools.
• Develop reports using SSRS & SQL stored procedures.
• Analyze and provide suggestions to tune database stored procedures to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and fine-tune database configurations, ETL processes, and SQL code for optimal performance.
• Set and maintain database standards.
• Recommend and implement emerging database solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvements of existing applications.
• Conduct code reviews.
• Develop SQL server stored procedures to implement business logic.
• Follow bank processes and procedures for each development cycle.
• Maintain documentation patterns for all applications.
• Adhere to all data security and integrity policies.
• Actively participate in all aspects of the software engineering process.
• Efficiently work in an Agile environment.
Requirements:
• Must have 7+ years of solid experience in SQL development.
• Must have 7+ years of hands-on experience in ETL design and development using any Microsoft SQL server ETL tools or Informatica.
• Must have 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• 4+ years' experience in Azure data factory.
• Good understanding of data cleansing, normalization, standardization, enrichment, fuzzy match techniques, and data governance concepts.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding SQL and data analysis skills.
• Experience in analyzing and building reports/dashboards using BI reporting tools such as Tableau.
• Experience in BI development, database development, and SQL database.
• Good understanding with development life cycle, data architect, and related methodologies.
