This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that is passionate about innovation and customer satisfaction. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service and repairs, while providing a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pre-production vehicle builds and assist cross-functional teams
  • Travel to locations to support service needs, including production plants
  • Operate remotely until local service centers open, if applicable
  • Follow Rivian repair procedures with efficiency and quality
  • Perform or assist with diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections on vehicles
  • Conduct road tests to ensure quality of repairs
  • Manage parts operations, including ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory
  • Stay up-to-date with technical skills and required training
  • Support campaigns and containment initiatives
  • Maintain accurate expense reporting and high-quality work
  • Work collaboratively in a dynamic environment and provide exceptional customer service

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Graduation from an accredited automotive repair school preferred
  • Required levels of experience will vary based on business need
  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
  • Proficient in navigating laptops or computers in a Windows or Mac environment
  • Familiarity with diagnosis and workflows
  • Able to read electrical schematics
  • Understanding of high voltage and low voltage electricity
  • Able to perform tire repair and vehicle alignment
  • Some hybrid repair background is a plus
  • Ability to diagnose and explain basic vehicle electronic communications
  • Ability to drive non-commercial trucks and trailers preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, or as needed
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
