Job Summary

Brown & Root is seeking a highly skilled HSE Specialist II to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post-Offer Requirements
    • Coordinate and manage post-offer requirements for new hires, including HR paperwork and background checks.
  • Orientation and Training
    • Develop and deliver comprehensive orientation programs for new hires, including a 110-slide PowerPoint presentation and required BRIS training modules.
    • Conduct site-specific orientation and ensure all employees understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Safety and Energy Programs
    • Implement and maintain Safety Energy Daily Logs for supervisors and Courage to Care Conversation cards.
    • Develop and track reports to monitor safety performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • BRIS Training and Compliance
    • Manage and maintain training spreadsheets for all employees, including filing tests and training information.
    • Ensure annual BRIS training and SOP training are completed and documented.
  • Inspection and Reporting
    • Conduct regular inspections of mobile equipment, assured grounding for electrical, ladders, rigging, and fall protection.
    • Investigate and report incidents, including injury reporting checklists and medical forms.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Participate in weekly HSE calls with the Regional HSE manager to discuss site activities and share best practices.
    • Collaborate with employees, site managers, and clients to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
