Job Overview

The Tooling Technician plays a crucial role in the tooling department, focusing on the upkeep and enhancement of molds. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including the maintenance, repair, and replacement of mold components. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to perform standard mold repairs with minimal oversight and will report directly to the Tooling Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute routine mold repairs independently
  • Engage in tasks such as replacing pins and other mold parts, assisting with engineering modifications, and supporting mold repairs, as well as working on fixtures and jigs
  • Conduct polishing, cleaning, and handwork, while also aiding in troubleshooting efforts
  • Participate in the scheduled maintenance of molds
  • Demonstrate the ability to work both inside and outside of the press
Qualifications
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Consistent attendance record
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the role
  • Experience with MIG/TIG welding is a plus
