About the Department

The Department of Learning Sciences is a collaborative and interdisciplinary department focused on understanding how people learn and designing innovative learning environments. We offer undergraduate and graduate degrees in special education, instructional technology, and other related fields.

Job Summary

This Clinical Instructor position will be responsible for teaching four courses each semester, including practicum supervision and coaching. The successful candidate will also support professional learning communities, engage in recruitment and induction efforts, and collaborate with P-12 and IHE partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Teach four courses each semester, including practicum supervision and coaching
  • Support and participate in professional learning communities for current students and/or alumni
  • Engage in recruitment, induction, and dissemination efforts related to PROPEL Project goals
  • Collaborate with PROPEL project P-12 and IHE partners and stakeholders for recruitment, program development, and professional learning opportunities
  • Participate in PROPEL Project team meetings and events
Requirements

The successful candidate must have a master's degree in special education or a closely related field by May 2024. A minimum of three years of successful teaching experience in inclusive, public P-12 instructional spaces is also required. Preferred qualifications include an Educational Specialist or earned Doctorate in special education, teacher education, or curriculum and instruction.
