As an Aircraft Engine Technician, you will be responsible for executing turbine engine repairs or overhauls, which include troubleshooting (both on-wing and off-wing), disassembly, cleaning, inspection & NDI, machining, assembly, testing, and preservation tasks. Your role is crucial in ensuring the safe return to service of any aircraft, engine, module, accessory, or part, adhering to all health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow established standards while performing assigned tasks, demonstrating competencies in line with FAA Regulations, OEM manuals, and relevant documentation.
  • Complete all necessary training as outlined in specific Training Matrices for your position.
  • Disassemble and assemble various turbine engine models using specialized aircraft tools and equipment.
  • Inspect engine components with precision measuring tools to identify defects such as cracks, burns, and foreign object damage.
  • Assess engine parts to determine repairability, utilizing micrometers and other precision measurement techniques.
  • Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) on aircraft engine components.
  • Utilize database systems to access information regarding parts inventory and manufacturing details.
  • Refer to technical publications and regulatory requirements to ensure tasks are completed accurately and in the correct order.

Customer interaction and travel may be necessary. Responsibilities also include general facility maintenance and upkeep.

Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years of experience in gas turbine engine maintenance and repair.
  • Previous experience in aerospace engine maintenance, with Level II NDT Certification preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills are essential.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are expected.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% - 35% of the time.
  • Near clarity of vision is required for detailed engine and document analysis.

This position demands meticulous attention to detail while working under the typical mental stresses associated with technical and mechanical tasks. The work environment includes engine shops with heavy components, chemicals, and the use of precision instruments, all while adhering to stringent safety regulations.
