Job Title: Family Law Paralegal

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team at Jobot. As a contract paralegal, you will be working on a complex family law case and will be responsible for conducting extensive legal research, managing client relations, and preparing and managing all necessary legal documentation.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and provide accurate information to attorneys.
  • Manage client relationships, including regular communication, answering queries, and ensuring client needs are met.
  • Prepare and manage all necessary legal documentation, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Provide legal assistance to attorneys during trials, including gathering evidence, coordinating witnesses, and preparing trial notebooks.
  • Ensure legal compliance in all activities and adhere to all professional ethics and confidentiality requirements.
  • Prepare legal cases from initial stages through to resolution, including conducting client interviews, gathering facts, and drafting legal documents.
  • Utilize legal software for efficient case management, document retrieval, and client communication.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in the field of family law.
  • A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
  • Proven experience in legal research, client relations, drafting legal documentation, and providing legal assistance.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legal compliance requirements in the field of family law.
  • Experience in preparing legal cases, including conducting client interviews, gathering facts, and drafting legal documents.
  • Proficiency in using legal software for case management, document retrieval, and client communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
