Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Wayne Farms LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on industrial machinery, including mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveying systems.
  • Identify and repair equipment malfunctions, using blueprints and diagrams to ensure compliance with safety specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and protocols.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pass NOCTI Mechanical/Electrical test, Level 1 required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in industrial machine predictive and preventative maintenance or demonstrated applicable mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Intermediate math and computer skills.
  • Ability to operate/use basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
  • Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
Working Conditions
  • Stand up to 8 hours.
  • Lift up to 60 lbs.
  • May be exposed to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
  • Exposure to wet and dusty environments.
  • Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crawling.
  • Roll and push buggies (~1,000 lbs.).
  • Work around raw, live animal odors.
