Job Overview:

GDIT is seeking a highly skilled Storage Engineer to join our team. As a Storage Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, architecting, configuring, deploying, upgrading, and supporting various storage and backup platforms and associated management tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement storage solutions that meet the needs of our customers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of storage systems
  • Develop and maintain documentation for storage systems, including logical and physical diagrams, run books, and other technical engineering documents
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in storage and backup technology to ensure our customers receive the best possible solutions
  • Provide expert-level support for storage-related issues and participate in on-call rotations during off-hours and weekends
Requirements:
  • BS degree and 5+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination
  • Hands-on experience with NetApp and other storage technologies and concepts
  • Experience with SAN, NAS, and iSCSI storage implementations
  • Strong understanding of high availability concepts and experience with design, development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale systems
  • CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Strong collaborative attitude and ability to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • NetApp Certification
  • PowerShell/Python scripting experience
  • Experience leveraging scripts to audit and enforce configuration standards
  • Amazon Web Services/C2S experience
