Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer plays a crucial role in optimizing and enhancing the efficiency of production operations within Gebhardt.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and establish manufacturing workflows and protocols focusing on Safety, Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement, Warranty Management, Maintenance, Testing, and Engineering tasks.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams to innovate and roll out new products or processes.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement and apply lean manufacturing techniques to boost productivity, minimize waste, and elevate overall operational efficiency. This includes conducting time studies and identifying parts.
  • Evaluate and interpret production data and metrics to pinpoint improvement opportunities and execute necessary corrective measures.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory standards, and industry guidelines to foster a safe and environmentally sustainable workplace.
  • Oversee the integration of new machinery, technologies, and automation systems to improve manufacturing capabilities and operational efficiency.
  • Formulate and manage the manufacturing engineering budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing engineering capacity.
  • Proven expertise in process enhancement, lean manufacturing, and project management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing operations and machinery.

Physical Demands:

  • Extended periods of sitting at a workstation and using a computer.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, and bend.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Frequently exposed to working near moving mechanical components.
