Job Summary

Hunter Strategy is seeking a skilled Systems Administrator to join our Corporate IT Operations Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking and operating systems, as well as experience with systems administration and/or engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in imaging and maintaining corporate workstations and servers, ensuring they meet internal and project-specific security standards.
  • Configure corporate switches and firewalls.
  • Install, configure, and maintain software on corporate devices.
  • Serve as Help Desk personnel with ticketing, troubleshooting, and escalations through email, ticketing system, phone, and in-person support as applicable.
  • Assist with IT onboarding and offboarding for internal users.
  • Assist with IT asset management and procurement.
  • Assist with user account management and configuration.
  • Assist security operations in remediating identified security vulnerabilities and other identified security and/or technical issues.
  • Work with suppliers and partners on behalf of the company to maintain third-party IT operating environment systems.
  • Maintain integrations, certificates, and other applications and services as required.
  • Maintain device and user management through centralized identity management systems.
  • Maintain, update, create, and improve internal technical and policy documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining company office environment.
  • Assist in provisioning and administering access to the company office(s).
Critical Skills
  • Strong customer service skills and an ability to listen and interpret requests.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technology issues.
Basic Qualifications

Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a closely related field and one year of experience with systems administration and/or engineering. Alternatively, four or more (4+) years' experience with systems administration and/or engineering. General understanding of Networking and Operating Systems. Ability to travel to either corporate location if needed (Washington, DC or Pompano Beach, FL).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with patch management using multiple tools.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell and Bash scripting.
  • Experience with cloud-native systems administration across a variety of services and technologies.
