Structural Steel Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at CyberCoders. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in creating accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects, including labor and material expenses. • Project Review & Analysis: Examine project plans, specifications, and documents to understand requirements, scope, and challenges.
• Quantity Takeoff & Cost Estimation: Measure and quantify materials, equipment, and labor from drawings. Research costs, bids, and labor rates to develop accurate cost estimates and pricing proposals using estimating software.
• Bid Preparation & Submission: Compile bid packages with cost estimates and proposals, ensuring compliance with project requirements and deadlines. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for quotes and submit bids, participating in negotiations as needed.
• Client Communication: Serve as the main contact for clients during bidding and project management, addressing inquiries and negotiating terms to build trust and satisfaction.
• Cost Analysis & Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving opportunities through analysis and value engineering, collaborating with stakeholders to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain organized documentation of cost estimates and bid proposals. Prepare reports for management review and decision-making.

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience in steel estimating.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost calculations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Tekla, or similar).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
