Project Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Project Management Specialist to join our team at the World Health Organization. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative solutions that improve global health outcomes.

About the Role

In this key position, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and technical oversight to selected pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response projects. You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of projects, from planning to implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate project risks;
  • Provide guidance on grant management and financial reporting;
  • Maintain relationships with key partners and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration;
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as public health or project management. A master's degree in a related field is desirable. Additionally, you should have at least 9 years of experience in project management, including experience with grant management and financial reporting.

  • Excellent project management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks;
  • Proven experience in grant management and financial reporting;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders;
Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary package, including a monthly net salary of $6,443.83 and a post adjustment of $4,523.57. In addition, you will receive benefits, including annual leave, sick leave, pension plan, and health insurance scheme.

Location

The successful candidate will be based in a location determined by the World Health Organization. The organization offers a smoke-free environment and is committed to workforce diversity.
