Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at Professional Builders Supply. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing accurate estimates for residential and commercial building projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate the quantity of materials needed for construction projects, adhering to company policies and local building codes.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to provide customers with accurate estimates and materials lists.
  • Assist in take-offs and provide support to contractors as needed.
  • Train sales representatives in estimating techniques and provide guidance on blueprint reading and construction procedures.
  • Review actual vs. estimated materials on project completion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by location management.
Requirements
  • Technical degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in construction and building materials.
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in networked computer systems and specialized software applications.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position that requires sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
