We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist PRN to join our team at Concentra. As a key member of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, including escorting them to dressing and x-ray rooms, providing verbal and/or written instructions, and assisting with positioning body parts to be radiographed.
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes, positioning equipment and adjusting controls to set exposure time and distance according to examination specifications.
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure patient and team member safety.
- Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order, reporting malfunctions to the Center Operations Director.
- Follow radiology workflows and ensure accurate documentation of patient x-ray visits.
- Perform medical assistant duties, including preparing patients for physical examinations, taking vital signs, and performing rapid screening tests.
- Assist providers during examinations and treatments, and apply bandages, dressings, and splints as ordered by the treating clinician.
- Dispense medications and DME as ordered by the treating clinician, and maintain accurate records.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology and applicable certification by the state in which employed.
- Registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and has active and valid certification.
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- At least six months or more of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
