Paramedic Specialist

Smith Ambulance Service is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our team. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing advanced life support and basic life support emergency medical care to patients in need.

• Provide advanced life support treatment of patients, including administering medications and performing procedures as needed.
• Operate ambulances and other company vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Transport sick and injured persons to medical facilities, providing basic life support care as needed.
• Perform patient assessments and develop treatment plans to ensure the best possible outcomes.
• Comply with all applicable state, local, and federal regulations and laws related to emergency medical services.

• Must be certified as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) and maintain current certification.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift, transfer, and maneuver patients safely and efficiently.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical personnel.
• Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

The work environment for this position will be fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to emergency situations. The Paramedic will be required to work in a variety of settings, including ambulances, hospitals, and other medical facilities.

The Paramedic will be expected to maintain a high level of physical fitness and be able to lift, transfer, and maneuver patients safely and efficiently. The work environment will be subject to changing weather conditions and may involve working in confined spaces.
