Aon is seeking a talented Data Science Specialist to join our Health Analytics Intelligence team. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues on a local, national, regional, and global level to drive business growth and improve client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and advise on health claims and risk datasets from multiple data sources.
  • Build statistical and machine learning models on large health datasets to provide advanced support to clients.
  • Liaise with external healthcare carriers, data vendors, startups, and other critical parties to track and monitor upcoming evolutions of digital health, care delivery, and more.
  • Work on groundbreaking data analytics tools to build full-stack pipelines in R/Python for data ingestion, cleaning, and preparation with accurate version control.
  • Showcase your skills in data visualization by communicating findings through the use of charts, visualization tools, and reporting automation to share end-results of technical content to a non-technical audience.
  • Develop understanding around medical claims reporting and billing for inpatient and outpatient procedures at a DRG, procedure code/CPT level.

Requirements:
  • A concentration in actuarial science, statistics, or a related field.
  • A GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python.
  • Experience with data analysis, clean-up, and validation in a work or academic setting.
