Responsibilities- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Assess the recreational therapy needs of individuals and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Organize and lead recreational activities, including sports, games, arts and crafts, music, dance, and outdoor adventures.
- Modify activities to suit patients with diverse abilities, disabilities, and cognitive levels.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, behaviors, and responses to treatment interventions.
- Provide guidance, support, and motivation to encourage patients' active participation in therapeutic activities.
- Educate patients and their families on the benefits of recreational therapy and provide guidance on continuing therapeutic activities beyond scheduled sessions.
- A minimum of 12 to 36 months of therapist experience.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in both oral and written English to effectively communicate.
- A full, unrestricted license to practice in the state of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
