Senior Engineer - Structure Design Position

SAI Consulting Engineers, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Engineer to join our Harrisburg Office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of engineering design, check, and review functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as Work Group Leader on small and mid-sized projects.
  • Perform general and/or complex design functions, including preliminary and final design, review or checking of designs, engineering computations, specifications, cost estimates, report writing, etc.
  • Develop and implement a project work plan.
  • Directly assist Other Project Engineers and Work Group Leaders on all projects.
  • Mentor less experienced staff.
  • Monitor the performance of projects, including quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Assist with preparing proposals, letters of interest, supplements, etc.
  • Review design and/or shop drawings.
  • Conduct and/or assist in visits to project sites, project status meetings, and public meetings.
  • Keep up to date with new design technology, construction equipment, and bridge design/construction advancements.
  • Provide design support for workshare with other offices.
  • May perform bridge inspection as abilities/desires permit.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Minimum four (4) years of progressively responsible structure design experience.
