Job Description:

As a key member of our team at New Castle Hotels, the Host plays a vital role in ensuring our guests have a memorable and enjoyable dining experience. This dynamic individual will be responsible for:

  • Setting the Scene: Arriving on time to set up the restaurant, lounge, or cafe, maintaining a clean and attractive work area throughout the meal period, and handling room service orders and cash/credit transactions as needed.
  • Welcoming Guests: Taking reservations, seating guests, pouring water, making helpful suggestions, answering questions, remembering names, and offering a friendly smile – all part of the job
  • Safety and Security: Following established safety and security policies and procedures, anticipating potential problems, and calling management as needed.


Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school education or equivalent, and prior experience in a restaurant setting is preferred.
  • The ability to work long hours as needed, with physical demands including lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds frequently or constantly.
  • Fluency in English and the ability to work in stressful, high-pressure situations, with a strong focus on multi-tasking and attention to detail.
