Position Overview: A Wastewater Treatment Specialist is responsible for overseeing the operations of wastewater management systems. This role requires a Level I license, which may be in the process of certification; employment is contingent upon successful completion of the certification examination. Candidates should possess a minimum of one year of relevant operational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct supervised operations of the wastewater treatment facility.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any unsafe practices or conditions. Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures and matters related to Process Safety Management.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance records.
  • Perform laboratory analyses for process control.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks on wastewater treatment equipment.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of relevant operational experience.
  • Possession of an active Level I Wastewater license; scheduling for certification may be at management's discretion.
