About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Intern to join our team at Mountaire Farms. As an Environmental Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in wastewater operations and water treatment, while developing your skills in data analysis and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with managers and supervisors to gain a comprehensive understanding of wastewater processes and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Travel to the Millsboro and Selbyville Wastewater Plants to conduct site visits and gather data for project development.
  • Assist in creating an Operation & Maintenance manual for the Water Treatment facility.
  • Review wastewater data for Delmarva and provide feedback, recommendations, and summary reports.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled and pursuing an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
  • Microsoft Suite experience, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between sites.
