Job Summary:

The Production Operator is responsible for safely operating the batching process per standard operating procedures (SOPs), specified feed formulation and quality procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow the expectations of all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards.
  • Follow the production schedule in accordance with feed formulation and quality.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process problems.
  • Proficient use of computer - in addition to process controls and inventory software.
  • Cleaning of processing equipment.
  • Ensure ingredients and reprocessed products are blended correctly.
  • Maintain inventory for in process ingredients.
  • Assist Hand Add colleagues dumping ingredients.
  • Accurate reporting with necessary paperwork.
  • Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and completion of all listed housekeeping duties per the master sanitation schedule.
  • Participate in shift exchange review and response meetings to communicate your key process indicator performance.
  • Once qualified, provide mentoring and training to new colleagues in the Production Operator position.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by ADM Management.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures.
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends, if needed.
  • Exhibit regular and prompt attendance.
  • Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in team setting when needed.
  • Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude.
  • Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures.
