About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Nuclear Services Group at ENERCON. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing winning engineering proposals, executing projects within budget and schedule constraints, and maintaining robust client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide interdisciplinary coordination for design engineering projects and serve as a technical leader to ensure project solution and quality goals are met.
  • Work with technical staff to develop winning, highly technical, engineering proposals.
  • Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to established schedule and within budget.
  • Understand project schedules, project management plans, and manage project staff to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Formulate/develop detailed project reports.
  • Understand project financials and be able to report regularly to management on financial status and overall project performance.
  • Foster and maintain working relations with assigned clients and act as a single point of contact for assigned projects.
  • Manage client interactions and negotiate / control project scope to client and company's satisfaction.
  • Aggressively support marketing efforts, including identification of new opportunities, proposal preparation, and follow-up.

Requirements:

  • Design Engineering experience with the modification and implementation process, calculations, specifications, etc. in power facilities.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the nuclear or power industries as an Engineer or Project Manager.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or a related field) OR PMP Certification and 8 years' applicable experience.
  • Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills.
  • Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites.
  • Ability to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs, ranging from a few days to a few weeks.
